Food truck park under construction in Cape Coral 

June 2023 Client Headlines - Slipaway Food Truck Park & MarinaSlipaway Food Truck Park & Marina officially broke ground on what will become a one-of-a-kind waterfront destination in Cape Coral for family-friendly outdoor fun and entertainment. With live music, food and outdoor fun, highlights include space for 10 food trucks, 30 boat slips, 154 seats at the central bar, six shade pavilions with an additional 144 seats, 1,370 feet of pathways and boardwalks, and 120 parking spots. It is expected to open in late 2024. Priority Marketing helped coordinate Slipaway’s groundbreaking event and initial PR push to inform the community about this exciting project.

World-class cancer treatment center under construction 

Community and health care leaders celebrated the final pour of the foundation for Southwest Florida Proton, a cutting-edge cancer treatment center being built in Estero. Priority Marketing provided event management services for a gathering that featured local dignitaries and project partners, as well as media relations and public relations to help alert the community that this state-of-the-art cancer treatment center is under construction.

United Way, SWFL homeowners star in new TV series 

The Weather Channel’s renovation series FAST: HOME RESCUE showcases impactful work by United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades in the wake of Hurricane Ian. The nonprofit assisted with three home renovations for local families that are featured this season. In collaboration with other local organizations, United Way tapped into its community partnerships and volunteer coordination, as well as its Gifts in Kind program that provided building supplies, furniture, appliances, food and cleaning supplies. Priority Marketing captured behind-the-scenes photos and videos as renovations were unfolding and helped announce the show to the Southwest Florida market. A local organization takes lead role in speaking out against hate 

The Jewish Federation of Greater Naples has been a vocal advocate in combatting antisemitism, and its president and CEO, Jeffrey Feld, has been leading that dialogue. He recently was quoted in a Jewish Florida News article about challenges in Southwest Florida, and Priority Marketing’s public relations team helped create guest opinions to inform and educate readers locally and nationally.

Lawmakers, governor provide funds to build new school 

The Florida Legislature allocated $5 million in state funding to help Family Initiative build Thrive Academy, a private educational setting for young people on the autism spectrum. Funding also will allow Family Initiative to build a special needs shelter to adequately support children and their families in the event of a natural disaster. Priority Marketing alerted local media to this line item in the budget while providing background about Thrive Academy.

Helping children jump start their education 

Priority Marketing partnered with the Early Learning Coalition of SWFL and local providers to alert parents that the state’s Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program was accepting registrations for the 2023-24 school year. The free educational program is available to all 4-year-olds and is designed to give children a jump-start for school by incorporating early literacy and math, language and social skills.

Recognizing, Celebrating Juneteenth in Southwest Florida 

The Lee County Black History Society, Dunbar Festival Committee, City of Fort Myers and the African Coalition of Southwest Florida celebrated the community at a Juneteenth event to mark the end of slavery in the United States. The day-long celebration at Roberto Clemente Park included performers, recognition of students, prayer, historic readings and a groundbreaking for a new inclusive playground by the City of Fort Myers. 

Priority Marketing added the celebration to event calendars and helped generate advance media coverage, including this story on WINK: Florida doesn’t recognize Juneteenth as a holiday. But residents do: ‘We’ve come a long way.’ Priority Marketing also captured photos and commentary from the event to use on social media and in post-event news stories.

In advance of Father’s Day, Priority Marketing pitched several dad-focused clients offering products and services geared toward men. After all, dads are interested in discounts and deals, too.
