Women in Business to host panel discussion Oct. 2 with women succeeding in typically male-dominated fields

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business (WIB) Committee will host its October networking meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Becker & Poliakoff, P.A., 12140 Carissa Commerce Court, Suite 200, in Fort Myers.

Attendees of the October WIB program will have the opportunity to learn about women succeeding in typically male-dominated fields. Panelists include Joleen Darragh, AIA, Southview Studios; Amber Pace Thomas, operations manager, JND Mechanical; Lisa Barnes, deputy chief, Cape Coral Police Department; Rabbi Nicole Luna, Temple Beth El; and Sandra Evans, human resources manager, Stevens Construction. The panel will be facilitated by Kathleen O. Berkey, shareholder attorney and certified land planner, Becker & Poliakoff. The October networking event is hosted by Becker & Poliakoff and sponsored by Stevens Construction.

Each month, Women in Business features a nonprofit spotlight and in October, Lee BIA Builders Care will be highlighted. Lee BIA Builders Care provides emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means.
