Every month, Priority Marketing’s clients and partners host a wide range of special events, seminars, workshops, activities and fundraising opportunities. Check out the list of client events in July 2024. Each of the events listed is open to the public; some are free events, while others require tickets or RSVPs.

Independence Day Celebrations 

OPTION 1 – A Blast at the Ballpark

Date: July 4 

Description: 

The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels will host a three-day Independence Day Celebration that includes fireworks shows, food specials and affordable family fun. 

Highlighting the weekend is the team’s postgame fireworks extravaganza on Thursday, July 4 that will be the biggest show in the history of Hammond Stadium at the Lee County Sports Complex. Fans will enjoy food and drink specials all evening, and the concession menu includes all-American ballpark favorites like hot dogs, chicken tenders, cheeseburgers and Philly cheesesteaks, as well as freshly squeezed lemonade, ICEEs, Dippin’ Dots and soft serve ice cream in a Mighty Mussels keepsake helmet. Concession stands also will feature a large selection of draft beers and craft beers from breweries across the country. 

Tickets for the game, which begins at 7:05 p.m., start at $10 and can be purchased online or at the box office.

OPTION 2 – Fun in the Sun

Date: July 4 

Description:  

Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is Southwest Florida’s new headquarters for Fourth of July revelers looking for convenient, exclusive access to special activities to celebrate the holiday, including:

• 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Pre-Parade Pop-Up Bar at Fins Up! Beach Club 

• 10 a.m.: Fourth of July Parade along Estero Boulevard 

• 1-5 p.m.: Live Entertainment at Fins Up! Beach Club 

• 4-9 p.m.: Firework Viewing Cookout at the Sunset Terrace 

The festivities continue on July 5 and July 6 with live entertainment throughout the day and evening.

All month, Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is offering Fins Up! Beach Club day passes for $33 Monday-Thursday and $38 Friday-Sunday (special price not available on July 4). Fins Up! includes a sundeck, lagoon swimming pool, cabanas and poolside service.

July 8-12 

ECHO, a leading advocate for sustainable agriculture and food security, will host a weeklong course on sustainable farming at its North American Regional Impact Center. Discussions will focus on improved food security and agricultural livelihoods for small-scale farmers in developing countries.

July 9 

Melanie Griffin, the secretary of the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, will be the featured speaker at The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon.

July 10 

Better Together has scheduled a virtual Meet & Greet for prospective job candidates interested in a role as a family support manager for the nonprofit. The get-to-know-you session includes an overview of the nonprofit’s driving purpose and job responsibilities.

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce welcomes business leaders and community members to Business Unplugged, a casual networking event held in the evening where chamber members and guests can make connections to expand their business and professional outlook.

Storyteller Nan Colton returns to Gulf Coast Village and will bring to life the story of Harriet Beecher Stowe, the second installation of the senior community’s Remarkable Women in History summer series. Following the presentation, group tours will be offered to those interested in viewing the life plan community’s campus.

July 12 

Drs. Linda Sakr and George Moricz at Naples Center for Functional Medicine will lead a discussion covering the benefits of IV therapy, which is a quicker and more effective way of taking supplements that infuses them directly into the bloodstream.

The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels are hosting the second Beer Fest of the 2024 season. Beer aficionados 21 and older can purchase a $20 pass that includes samples of more than 50 beers from local and national brewers; a separate game ticket is required.

July 25 

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will recognize members for outstanding contributions to the community during the third annual Chamber Awards. The Chamber also will honor finalists and announce the winner of Women in Business’s APEX Awards at the event.

The Wonder Gardens’ Brews for the Birds is an adults-only event that includes food trucks, beer from local and national breweries, nonalcoholic drinks, music and the opportunity to experience the Wonder Gardens at night.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Naples is hosting a Summer Book Discussion with Dan Petrosini, author of “Buried at the Lake.” The discussion, which begins with a short presentation, will be held in person and online via Zoom.

Senior Choice at Home’s monthly educational luncheon will take place at Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant in Fort Myers and include an informational presentation, complimentary lunch and a question-and-answer session for attendees.

July 29 

Fans of the actor, comedian and filmmaker Gene Wilder will convene for a discussion about the 2023 documentary “Remembering Gene Wilder.” Guests are encouraged to watch the film before attending the discussion at the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples.

July 30 

Business Before Breakfast, a monthly networking session with light refreshments and hot coffee, has a theme of “What you do early today can improve all your tomorrows.” The program includes a brief presentation by this month’s event host, CFS Roofing & Mechanical Services. Early rising guests are encouraged to bring business cards.
