Lee BIA Builders Care announces its lineup of barbecue, food and music for its popular BBQ, Bands & Brew fundraising event, returning on Sunday, March 24 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater in downtown Fort Myers.
During the 13th annual event, Southwest Florida’s top pitmasters will compete for the title of “Best BBQ in Town,” accompanied by a lineup of live performances, numerous vendors and fun-filled activities for all ages, including a lively cornhole tournament and a children’s play area with face-painting, games and more. Tickets for adults are $10 in advance at LeeBuildersCare.com/BBQ or $15 at the gate. Admission is free for children 12 and under.
Big Smoke BBQ, which was named “Best BBQ in Town” by attendees of the last BBQ, Bands & Brew event, is returning in 2024 to defend its title and will be joined by some of the region’s top pitmasters, including 5 Piggies Bar-B-Que, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, S.L.A.B. BBQ and That BBQ Place. Additional sweet treats and brunch finds will be available from Love Boat Ice Cream, The Brunchy Brunch and Taterz.
Three bands will take the stage throughout the day, including Blue Wave Rockers at 11:30 a.m., Rocker at 1:15 p.m. and headliner Ben Allen Band at 3 p.m.
Proceeds from the event support Builders Care’s mission to provide emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means. To date, Lee BIA Builders Care has helped more than 500 Lee County households and provided over $5 million in emergency construction services and materials at no cost to families and local homeowners in need. Since its inception, the event has raised over $784,000 in support of Lee BIA Builders Care.
