Florida Bar Board Certified Wills, Trusts and Estates Attorneys Craig R. Hersch and Michael B. Hill, partners with Sheppard, Brett, Stewart, Hersch, Kinsey & Hill, P.A., will host a free Florida Residency and Estate Planning Workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 at Temple Beth El, located at 16225 Winkler Road in Fort Myers. An essential workshop for Florida residents or those considering Florida residency, the workshop will educate attendees on Florida estate law and share opportunities for enhancing estate planning techniques. Additional workshops will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Sanibel Public Library in Sanibel and Nov. 10 at the Naples Area Board of REALTORS’ Naples Conference Center in Naples.

Topics of discussion:

  • Are wills and trusts established out of state valid, once you move to Florida?
  • Can taxes be reduced by declaring Florida residency?
  • Why does a Durable Power of Attorney needs to be updated?
  • How can I best keep legal documents up-to-date?
  • And how a revocable trust may not avoid probate.

All attendees will receive a free copy of Hersch’s recently published book, The Florida Residency & Estate Planning Guide. In addition, attendees can bring their current estate documents for a complimentary written trust analysis with Hersch and Hill by arriving 30 minutes prior to the seminar.
