Things to do: Client events in January 2022

Every month, Priority Marketing’s clients and partners host a wide range of special events, seminars, workshops, activities and fundraising opportunities. Check out the list of client events in January 2022. 

FEATURED EVENT 

Client Events - Picayune, Everglades Coalition ConferenceThe 37th annual Everglades Coalition Conference will be a three-day event held at Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key. This year’s theme is Everglades Restoration: Investing in a Climate Resilient Future. 

A forum for discussing Everglades restoration progress, challenges and opportunities, the conference’s attendees typically include scientists, educators, conservationists, media, students and members of the public, as well as decision-makers and representatives from federal, state, local and tribal governments. Topics of discussion include the science behind restoration and climate change, connectivity and collaboration in the Everglades, federal policy under new leadership, Florida Bay seagrass recovery and nature-based solutions. 

In-person and virtual attendance options are available.

Jan. 4, 14, 21 & 28: Kids’ Minds Matter is hosting a series of virtual Partners in Parenting courses for parents of children with developmental disabilities, mental health issues and special health care needs. LINK: The Exceptional Child      

Jan. 5: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee will host its January networking program and mixer at Crazy Dingo Brewing. The program is presented in partnership with the Lee Building Industry Association’s Women Building Connections Group. LINK: Women in Business  

Jan. 5: Growing Climate Solutions is hosting a “Y&How” workshop addressing agriculture in Collier County. Leading the presentation and providing tips on purchasing food from local producers is Jessica Ryals, agriculture and sustainable food systems agent for UF/IFAS. LINK: Y&How Workshop 

Jan. 11: Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will host a networking program for attendees representing a variety of businesses and industries across Southwest Florida. LINK: Leadership NEXT 

Jan. 13: Paint Nail Bar in Fort Myers is welcoming early risers for the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s free Business Before Breakfast event, which will feature light refreshments and networking opportunities. LINK: Business Before Breakfast 

Jan 14: The sixth annual MarineMax Yacht Gala: An Evening Under the Stars will feature a night of luxury and pleasure to support the Lee Health Foundation and Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Guests will have opportunities to step aboard stunning yachts and enjoy cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, music and more. Jan. 20: The School District of Lee County is hosting Social Lee: Careers & Conversations, an informational event that will provide insight on available teaching positions. Ideal for prospective career-changers and working professionals, attendees will have opportunities to meet school leaders, as well as learn about career paths and the process of becoming certified to teach in Florida. LINK: Social Lee 

Jan. 20: Guadalupe Center is hosting Guadalupe Galaxy: Constellations of Hope, Charting the Future at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples to raise money for life-changing educational programs for students in Immokalee. The event features heartwarming student performances and speakers, galaxy-inspired décor, the return of a live auction and out-of-this-world entertainment. LINK: Guadalupe Galaxy 

Jan. 21: Real estate and business entrepreneur David Hoffmann, chair of the Hoffmann Family of Companies, is the featured speaker for the prestigious NextGen Speaker Series event in January. NextGen brings together business and community professionals to encourage leadership, mentorship, empowerment and philanthropy. LINK: NextGen Speaker Series 

Jan. 22: Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to helping families in crisis and preventing the need for foster care, is hosting a luncheon that brings parents together for community, to support each other and to hear from experts while their children play supervised in another room. There is no cost to attend. LINK: Better Luncheons 

Jan. 27: Blaze Pizza in Fort Myers is hosting a Give Back Event to support Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Diners must show the flyer when ordering in person or add a promo code when ordering online for the restaurant to donate proceeds from the sale. LINK: Give Back 

Jan. 27: Tourism and marketing will be the focus of January’s Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheon. Tamara Pigott, executive director of the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau, will share updates about the agency’s new marketing campaign, website, visitor guide and brand, as well as provide an overview of the region’s tourism. LINK: Chamber Luncheon 

Jan. 29NAMI Collier will host its scenic Mental Health Walk to raise awareness and hope for those affected by mental illness. This is the annual walk’s 20th anniversary. LINK: Mental Health Walk
