Rescheduled for Aug. 10: The School District of Lee County is hosting a Back-to-School Block Party at Bell Tower. Presented in partnership with Safe Kids Southwest Florida, the event features family-friendly fun and a “Safe-to-School” Safety Zone, interactive games, a bounce house, giveaways, music and more. Aug. 2-4: Jason’s Deli of Southwest Florida is hosting its 11th annual “Kids Eat Free” event, a three-day promotion that offers complimentary meals to children ages 12 and under at all six locations. LINK: Kids Eat Free

Aug. 10: Fort Myers Brewing Company is hosting a community fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 10 to benefit the family of a 7-year-old Cape Coral boy who is battling leukemia for the third time. #AdynStrong will feature food trucks, drinks, live music and auction items. LINK: #AdynStrong Fundraiser

Aug. 13: Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals in Southwest Florida, will feature a case study examining the grand opening of Dave & Buster’s. Priority Marketing’s Holly Boldrin, Katie Damminger and Rachel Toomey will explain how the firm helped generate so much buzz and anticipation for Bell Tower’s newest attraction. Aug. 14: The Lee Health Foundation will host its 16th annual Rumrunners’ Celebrity Chef Night at Rumrunners at Cape Harbour. The event features culinary creations from local chefs like Norman Love and a charity auction, with proceeds benefiting Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida’s Cancer Fund. Aug. 16: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee will name the recipient of its 14th annual APEX Award during a gala held at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village in Cape Coral. LINK: APEX Awards

Aug. 17: Fort Myers Brewing will host its second annual Wing Fest, which features food trucks, live music, cold beer and mountains of chicken wings. LINK: Wing Fest

Aug. 21: Pace Center for Girls, Lee County will host Love That Dress! 11 at Embassy Suites Fort Myers-Estero. Attendees will have an opportunity to purchase new and gently loved dresses, handbags, shoes and accessories. Proceeds support Pace programs and services for girls ages 11 to 18. Aug. 21: Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida will host its eighth annual Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser at HeadPinz Entertainment Center in Fort Myers. Proceeds support work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs. LINK: Bowl-A-Thon

Aug. 22: The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce is introducing EXCELerate, a new program that provides mentoring for business excellence.
