‘Sunset at St. Charles Yacht Club’ collection event raises $53,000 for Pace Center for Girls, Lee

Pace Center for Girls, Lee recently raised more than $53,000 during its Love That Dress! collection event, “Sunset at St. Charles Yacht Club,” on May 12 in Fort Myers.

Taking place at the exclusive St. Charles Harbour & Yacht Club, the evening featured live music, hors d’oeuvres, refreshing cocktails and silent and live auctions offering one-of-a-kind packages and experiences. During the event, more than 300 dresses were collected to be sold at deeply discounted prices during Pace’s annual Love That Dress! event on Aug. 24. With a series of social events to help build inventory, the fundraising event culminates with what’s described as the ultimate feel-good shopping spree of the year.

Proceeds from Love That Dress! benefit Pace Lee, which provides academic programs and counseling services to girls and young women ages 11 to 18 who are working to overcome risk factors such as poverty, substance abuse, domestic violence, foster home placement, neglect, grief, incarceration of a family member, mental health and physical, emotional or sexual abuse.
