PACE Center for Girls, Lee County has announced its 2019 Grande Dames Tea, set for Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
The 11th annual event, which celebrates three local women for their roles in business, community and philanthropy, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, 1380 Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers. PACE has named Alexandra Bremner as chair of the annual event. The 2019 honorees will be announced in January.
“Our annual Grande Dames Tea brings the community together to cherish the impact and achievements of local women, learn from their wisdom and honor the female spirit,” said Meg M. Geltner, executive director at PACE Center for Girls, Lee County. “Aligning with our efforts to empower girls and young women to live a life defined by responsibility, dignity, serenity and grace, this inspirational event provides real-life examples of women that our PACE girls can aspire to be.”
Each year, PACE’s Grande Dames Tea honors women who exemplify the organization’s guiding principles and have made a significant impact on the community through decades of service and helping others. The event’s theme, “The Wisdom of Age – Honoring the Female Spirit,” represents the unique perspectives and powerful insight that these women have gained throughout their life journeys, and the importance of passing this knowledge along to future generations. Honorees will share words of wisdom and advice during this inspirational event, which also features a Q&A session and special performances by the PACE girls. Proceeds from the event benefit PACE and its strength-based, gender-specific programs that guide PACE girls in finding their voice and achieving their potential.
Ticket sales begin Feb. 1, with admission at $60 per person. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite tea party hat.
A range of sponsorship opportunities are now available for the 2019 event, including Title sponsorship at $10,000, Golden Tea Leaves sponsorships at $7,500 and Silver Teacup sponsorships at $5,000.
