Lee BIA Builders Care announces exclusive ‘Burly Wine Experience’ fundraising event

Lee BIA Builders Care has announced an exclusive food and wine experience that offers a rare opportunity to learn about the art of winemaking directly from an acclaimed Napa Valley vintner.

The “Burly Wine Experience” on Dec. 1 will feature an exquisite four-course meal personally crafted by acclaimed executive chef Brian Roland, owner of the trendy Crave Culinaire and Venue Naples. The dinner will include wine pairings from Burly Wine and a lively presentation by winery owner Hank McCrorie and his winemaker, Massimo Monticelli.

“This event combines a gourmet dinner prepared by a rising star in culinary arts with wine from an esteemed Napa Valley vintner, and packaged with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the winemaking business,” said Becky Swift, executive director of Lee BIA Builders Care. “Funds raised at the ‘Burly Wine Experience’ will directly support well-deserving, needy families in Lee County.”

As the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association (BIA), Lee BIA Builders Care provides emergency construction services at no cost to needy and deserving elderly and/or disabled homeowners, and their families, who cannot obtain repairs through traditional means.

The “Burly Wine Experience” begins with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Venue Naples, 13240 Tamiami Trail North, Suite 205, in Naples. Dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $200 per person, or $400 per couple, and available online at LeeBuildersCare.com.

Burly is a boutique winery known for its classically elegant chardonnay, sauvignon blank and cabernet sauvignon. McCrorie is a former sales executive-turned-vintner who started the company in 2004 after his retirement. Monticelli is a skilled winemaker who blends artisan techniques and styles while supervising the winemaking process from the vineyard to distribution. The duo will show a video that transports guests to Napa Valley, where they’ll unlock the secrets of the acclaimed winery.

Crave Culinaire is a contemporary, ultra-modern catering company that offers in-home dining, food and wine pairings, corporate catering, event planning and cooking classes across Southwest Florida. Venue Naples is a premier destination for chic events and its interior is designed to reflect a sleek, modern urban loft.

The “Burly Wine Experience” is sponsored by Investor’s Security Trust, Land Solutions, Private Physicians of Southwest Florida, Storm Smart and IBERIABANK.
