Healthcare Network to provide drive-thru COVID-19 testing June 27 in Golden Gate

Healthcare Network, a nonprofit organization committed to the health and well-being of everyone in the community, will provide free drive-thru COVID-19 testing from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27 at Nichols Community Health Center in Golden Gate, 12655 Collier Blvd.

Testing will be based on available supplies, for people of all ages regardless of symptoms. A physician or provider referral is not required, and those receiving tests do not need to be patients of Healthcare Network.

“Throughout the pandemic, Healthcare Network has been collaborative and proactive in providing COVID-19 support to the Collier County community, including providing the first testing in Everglades City and helping Doctors Without Borders conduct testing in Immokalee,” said Dr. Emily Ptaszek, president and CEO of Healthcare Network. “Providing testing at Nichols Community Health Center in Golden Gate supports our core mission of keeping the community healthy.”

Nichols Community Health Center in Golden Gate opened in June to serve the healthcare needs of 36,000 underserved residents in and around Golden Gate. Services offered at the Nichols Community Health Center include children’s care, obstetrics and gynecology, adult and senior care, integrated behavioral health and drive-thru pharmacy. Dental care and walk-in health care services are expected to open in the near future. Healthcare Network broke ground in January 2019 on the $15 million medical center named after a gift from Naples resident Jerry Nichols.
