Wonder Gardens presents Brews for the Birds & the Bees March 26

The Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs is hosting Brews for the Birds & the Bees Saturday, March 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring beers from local breweries, live music and food trucks. Money raised will support and enhance the lives of the resident birds at the zoological park and botanical garden.

The event’s Grand Sponsor is the Billy the Bee Foundation, a local foundation headed by Wonder Gardens donor and former board member Bill Douglas to promote awareness of the importance of preserving the honeybee. The event was originally scheduled Dec. 4 but was rescheduled.

“We are delighted to bring back this popular event with an addition,” said Cindy McCartney, director of guest experience and retail for the Wonder Gardens. “With Billy the Bee Foundation as our Grand Sponsor, we have renamed the event to Brews for the Birds & the Bees. It promises to be a fun evening showcasing the gardens while supporting our rescued, rehabilitated and unreleasable birds.”

At press time, participating breweries include Coppertail Brewing, Big Storm Brewing, Riptide Brewing, Ankrolab, Islamorada Brewing, Scotty’s Bierwerks, Labelle Brewing, Veza Sur Brewing, 3 Daughters Brewing, Big Top Brewing and Hollywood Brewing.

Tickets are limited and will be sold online while supplies last. Through March 1, tickets are $45 for nonmembers and $40 for members. After March 1, tickets will be $50 for nonmembers and $45 for members. Tickets will also be sold at the door if they are still available.
