The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee has announced a new date for its APEX Awards. The ceremony will now be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village in Cape Coral.
The annual APEX Awards recognizes outstanding women in the Greater Fort Myers community who excel in the areas of professionalism, philanthropy and leadership. The community is invited to nominate their deserving leaders online at www.fortmyers.org/events/apex-awards through Friday, Nov. 13. Upon acceptance of a nomination, nominees must be current members of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce. Nominations that have already been submitted for the 2020 awards will remain in the running, and the nominators will be contacted to see if updates are needed. New entries are welcome and encouraged.
This year, the five finalists for the APEX Awards will be announced as part of the Women in Business “Sweethearts & Scholarships” auction on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 4 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza at Bell Tower in Fort Myers. This special event raises funds for the Women in Business scholarships that are awarded annually to non-traditional students. The five finalists announced will go on to be recognized during the luncheon celebration on April 30, 2021, where one will be named the recipient of the APEX Award.
