Award-winning Naples-based general contracting and construction management firm Waltbillig & Hood is celebrating five years of providing first-class construction services with the announcement of the company’s expansion into new markets throughout Florida and other parts of the greater Southeastern U.S.
Waltbillig & Hood was founded in 2016 by Jay Waltbillig and Brian Hood, who bring more than 40 years of commercial and healthcare construction market experience to the company. After working for another established local construction firm, the two joined together with a vision to create a company built on hands-on involvement alongside their team and clients.
Their intention is to create a culture that inspires hard work, authenticity and trust. Waltbillig & Hood General Contractors specializes in ground-up and tenant improvement construction services. The company’s diverse portfolio includes multi-family and senior living, acute care hospitals, medical offices, retail, storage and industrial, clubhouses and amenities, automotive, corporate offices, educational and laboratory project types.
“As we reflect on five years in business, we are especially moved by our team, our relationships with our clients and the many successful projects that have positively changed the landscape of greater Southwest Florida and beyond,” said Jay Waltbillig, principal and co-founder of Waltbillig & Hood. “The businesses we serve include many of the area’s most respected healthcare organizations, manufacturing, retail and commercial companies. As they grow their footprint locally and outside this region, our team is expanding alongside them to continue providing the high-quality workmanship and exceptional service that they are accustomed to with Waltbillig & Hood.”
With a bonding program in excess of $100 million, Waltbillig & Hood is well positioned for continued growth. In addition to serving clients throughout Florida, the company has announced its expansion into the Carolinas.
To support continued growth, Waltbillig & Hood is also growing its internship program in partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University’s construction management program, which was established in 2019 to meet the growing need for skilled construction managers in this region.
“We opened the doors as a team of six. Over the past five years, we have grown to more than 30 W&H team members, doubled our year over year volume and expanded into new markets,” said Brian Hood, principal and co-founder of Waltbillig & Hood. “Our business model is focused on relationships, and I’m thrilled to share that in addition to new customers, we have a high volume of repeat clients who have come to trust and value our dedication to serving the people around us to inspire and deliver the best results for everyone involved. With fourth quarter upon us, we are on track to celebrate our milestone five-year anniversary as our best year yet.”
Active in the community, Waltbillig & Hood supports numerous charitable organizations including Path2Freedom, Miracle Limbs, American Heart Association, Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, the Naples Zoo, the Children’s Museum of Naples, Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida and others.
