Vibe Yoga is offering registered yoga teacher training starting Oct. 10 with an introductory overview. Classes for the 200-hour hybrid course, offering both online and in-person instruction, begin Oct. 17. The training will culminate with graduation from Feb. 17-19, 2023.
Students in the course will follow an independent online module for 120 hours. Each week, the training outlines the modules to complete, and then the class meets via Zoom from 7-9 p.m. every Monday, excluding holidays.
The 200-hour hybrid training will include:
- 120 self-paced online study hours
- 60 hours of in-person or zoom training, which includes anatomy (taught by a physician), trauma-informed yoga training, practice teaching (how to write a sequence and teach a class to others), Stand up Paddleboard yoga or Ayurveda training
- 20 self-practice hours.
Leading the training is Lindsay Smith, Vibe Yoga founder and a 500-hour E-RYT teacher certified in trauma-informed yoga, Yoga Nidra, yoga for back pain, Teaching Yoga to Children and more.
“I began yoga as a way to ease my stress and heal my mind after over 20 years in the hospitality industry. It forever changed my life, and I knew I wanted to share that with others,” Smith said. “This training will give those looking to make that transition from student to teacher the knowledge and confidence they will need and an opportunity for mentorship.”
Participants have the option of enrolling with a $220 deposit or may take advantage of discounted advance pricing of $2,200 when they pay in full before Oct. 1. After Oct. 1, enrollment is $2,800. Scholarships are available for local candidates, so that proper mentorship can be provided. Applicants must be willing to come in-person to the studio in Fort Myers and apply before Sept. 25. Registration for all participants is available at VibeYogaSWFL.com/teacher-training/.
