USF honors Teri Hansen, Priority Marketing for fourth time

Priority Marketing Founder, President and Chief Creative Officer Teri Hansen, APR, was honored again by her alma mater with the University of South Florida Alumni Association’s Fast 56 Award. The annual awards program celebrates the 56 fastest-growing businesses owned or led by USF alumni, based on cumulative revenue growth over the previous three years.

It’s the fourth time Teri has won the award. She also made the list in 2020, 2021 and 2024.

Hansen graduated magna cum laude from USF in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and management, as well as a minor in criminal justice. After starting her career in corporate roles, Hansen founded Priority Marketing in 1992 as a one-person operation that initially focused on public relations for a handful of clients in the construction industry.

Today, Priority Marketing offers public relations, brand development, web services, social media, creative services, media buying, video production, digital marketing, event planning and other services. The firm represents clients in health care, hospitality and tourism, retail, senior living, construction, legal, aviation, finance, education and other industries, as well as government agencies and nonprofit organizations.

“The Fast 56 Award is based on cumulative growth over multiple years, so it’s difficult to be a repeat honoree,” Teri said. “USF has nearly 400,000 alumni, many of whom are leading companies around the world, and Priority Marketing’s success over the past 33 years is directly tied to the knowledge and skills I learned as a student at USF.”

Other Fast 56 honorees include leaders of health care, financial services, construction, consulting, engineering and real estate companies, among others.

“We take immense pride in our Bull-led enterprises because they’re more than just businesses – they’re engines of progress,” says Bill McCausland, vice president and executive director of the USF Alumni Association. “These alumni are driving innovation, creating opportunities and delivering solutions that enrich our communities.”

USF celebrated the entrepreneurial achievements and business leadership of alumni at the 13th annual Fast 56 Awards on Friday, Sept. 19 in Tampa. See the recap video here:
