United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades is gearing up for its 10th Annual Swing into Spring event. This major fundraiser for Hendry and Glades County agencies is scheduled for Saturday, April 20 in LaBelle.
Swing into Spring will take place at the RiverBend Motorcoach Resort on 5800 West FL-80 from 5-8 p.m. Guests will be treated to a prime rib and chicken piccata dinner, cash bar, music from the LaBelle High School musicians and a live and silent auction.
The auction will feature items such as a two-night stay and dinner for two at the all new Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, a two-night stay at the Luminary Hotel in downtown Fort Myers, 10 box seats for any 2024 Mighty Mussels home game, and much more.
The event, which is sponsored by Camp Kindness, Stanley and Patricia Heath, The Mangroves and Nisbet Enterprises (McDonald’s), will be emceed by Hendry County Commissioner Ramon Iglesias. Sponsorships are still available.
In Hendry and Glades counties, United Way has set a campaign goal of $364,200. With the help of early donors and Pacesetters, the organization has reached 53% of its goal with a total of $193,353 raised for the two counties thus far. Through the annual campaign, United Way ensures that 20 local agencies are able to continue over 40 programs and initiatives to focus on issues that improve lives and can further United Way’s mission of improving the quality of life for all people in the community.
