The United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee is partnering with the American Red Cross to host free CPR presentations on Black Friday at Bell Tower to demonstrate lifesaving CPR care.
Certified instructors at the interactive “Shop & Save a Life” presentations will show participants how to deliver Hands-Only CPR, or compression-only CPR, a technique that does not require rescue breaths. Instructors will explain how to position hands on a person who needs help and proper techniques to administer rapid compressions.
Sessions begin at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon on Friday, Nov. 29, at the new United Way Community Impact Center, Suite 145, at Bell Tower, 13499 S. Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers. Advance registration is not required.
The Community Impact Center opened in October and hosts a variety of special initiatives and programs, and serves as a point of connection for a variety of community partnerships and collaborations.
Bell Tower will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday. Operating hours for anchor stores, restaurants and entertainment venues may vary from regular center hours.
