Colton Dixon, Russell Dickerson, special guest to take stage at Hammond May 10, 11
The Florida State League Champion Fort Myers Miracle are excited to announce their 2019 Promotional Schedule, highlighted by back-to-back concerts on May 10 and 11 at Hammond Stadium.
Christian rock icon and American Idol alum Colton Dixon will perform following the May 10 game against Tampa in celebration of Faith and Family Night. There will also be a postgame fireworks show. The next evening, May 11, is Country Night, presented by Cat Country 107.1, and the game will be followed by performances from country star Russell Dickerson and a special guest. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Royce Lewis bobblehead.
Aside from music, the 2019 season will feature several other prominent appearances at Hammond Stadium, including the Zooperstars on April 5, Star Wars characters on April 19, former WWE wrestler Rickie “The Dragon” Steamboat on April 20, Tom Guiry (Smalls) from “The Sandlot” on April 26, Russian Bar Trio on April 27, Bboy McCoy on May 17, Corbin Bernsen (Roger Dorn) from “Major League” on May 18, Leslie David Baker (Stanley) from “The Office” on June 28, and Christopher McDonald (Shooter McGavin) from “Happy Gilmore” on July 26.
Opening night for the Miracle is Thursday, April 4 against the Charlotte Stone Crabs. Tickets go on sale March 13 at Hammond Stadium and online at Miracle.com/tickets.
Every Saturday and other select games will feature giveaways, headlined by bobbleheads of Royce Lewis (May 11), Alex Kirilloff (April 27) and Brusdar Graterol (Aug. 31). They are the top three prospects in the Twins organization and played key roles in leading the Miracle to the 2018 FSL Championship. Another key contributor and 2018 FSL Postseason All-Star, Taylor Grzelakowski, will be featured in a bobblehead giveaway on June 29.
Other giveaways include a Championship Ring on April 4, Magnet Schedule on April 5, Championship Cap on April 20, Roger Dorn Jersey T-Shirt on May 18, Miracle Hawaiian T-Shirt on June 8, Duffel Bag on July 6, and even a Used Car on July 26. During the planning of these events, there was a lot of buzz around promotional strategies, similar to the marketing tactics used by the highest payout online casinos to attract and engage players with high rewards and bonuses. Additional giveaways include a Miracle Santa Hat on July 27, Miracle Tank Top Giveaway on Aug. 10, and College Football Night Tickets on August 30.
The Miracle will pay tribute to our local heroes with First Responders Night on April 20 and Military Appreciation Night on May 18. Independence Day on July 4 will feature the best fireworks show in Southwest Florida.
Many of the popular weekly promotions will return in 2019, along with some new ones. Mondays will be Dollar Dog Mondays with $1 hot dogs all night. Two for Tuesdays return as well so fans can enjoy two-for-one tacos, draft beers and fountain soda. The Miracle will have three 1 p.m. Wednesday games this season and those contests will feature a special $13 package for business professionals, which includes a box seat, hot dog and beverage. Thirsty Thursdays are even better in 2019, with $1 and $2 domestic draft beers (excluding Independence Day).
Fireworks Fridays are back with the best shows in Southwest Florida, highlighted by a Fourth of July show that will be the biggest event of the summer. Saturdays are Giveaway and Dog Saturdays in which fans can get in line early for a special giveaway item and bring their dogs out to every Saturday home game. Sundays will be DQ Family Fundays and fans can pick up a ticket voucher to receive four free tickets at any Lee or Collier County Dairy Queen. Prior to the game, kids 12 and under can play catch on the field, and after the game, children can run the bases.
