CLIENT EVENTS - Prayer Breakfast

Every month, Priority Marketing’s clients and partners host a wide range of special events, seminars, workshops, activities and fundraising opportunities. Check out the list of client events in May 2025. Each of the events listed is open to the public; some are free events, while others require tickets or RSVPs.

Thursday, May 1 

Southwest Florida Community Prayer Breakfast 

The Southwest Florida Community Prayer Breakfast is a free, ticketed event held on the National Day of Prayer, when individuals from all over Southwest Florida join in unified prayer for continued blessings on the nation. 

This year’s event will be held at Hammond Stadium at the Lee Health Sports Complex. The keynote speaker is two-time People’s Choice Awards winner Kirk Cameron, known by millions as “Mike Seaver” from the 1980s sitcom “Growing Pains.” In recent years, Cameron has invested his time and energy into faith and family-focused films, television shows and live events. Currently, Cameron hosts the weekly talk show “Takeaways with Kirk Cameron” and the “American Campfire Revival” podcast. 

Registered guests at the sunrise event receive a complimentary breakfast before the program begins. 

TIME: Breakfast 6:05 a.m.; Program 7 a.m.

Through May 2 

Harry Chapin Food Bank’s Share the Shelf, an end-of-spring food collection, encourages seasonal residents to donate surplus food before departing for their summer homes. Residents can drop off non-perishable, shelf-stable foods at the Food Bank’s distribution centers in Fort Myers and Naples or the general aviation terminal at Naples Airport.

May 1 

Tap 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar at Mercato in Naples has launched Cocktail for a Cause. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Tap 42 is donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of its newest cocktail, Ciao Bella, to NAMI Collier.

May 1 

The Dubin Center is celebrating three decades of support for local families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia with a 30th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at The Veranda Restaurant in Fort Myers. The elegant evening will feature cocktails, appetizers and a buffet-style dinner.

May 2 

The DCD Annual Cornhole Tournament benefits United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades and features teams of Lee County government employees competing for prizes in a double-elimination tournament. The spectator fee is $2; food and beverages will be available for purchase. 

May 2-5 

810 Entertainment at Miromar Outlets in Estero is hosting a four-day Cinco de Mayo celebration with a trio of margarita specials for guests ages 21 and older: $5 house margaritas, $6 top shelf margaritas and $8 Cadillac margaritas.

May 3 

Normal is Overrated, an interactive and informative event created by students, aims to open the doors to acceptance and inclusivity for Southwest Florida middle and high school students to talk about mental health. The event, hosted by Kids’ Minds Matter, features Dr. Michael Rizzo as keynote speaker along with mental health advocate Chantel Rhodes and student speaker Andrea Gijon.

May 3 

Horse racing fans in Southwest Florida can celebrate the Kentucky Derby while raising funds for pediatric health care through auctions, a 50/50 and games at The Club at Gateway, aka Gateway Downs. The Lee Health Foundation’s Giddy Up for Golisano event also features food, drinks and a night of dancing.

May 4 

Celebrate Israel’s Independence Day (Yom Ha’Atzmaut) with a concert by the Israeli ensemble Hashayara, who hail from the Galilee region. Advance registration is requested for this free event hosted by the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples.

May 7 

Lee County Legal Aid Society hosts Law at the Library, a free legal clinic for area seniors in need of no-cost, limited legal advice in civil cases, including landlord-tenant disputes, and post-disaster contractor fraud. The morning session at North Fort Myers Public Library is open to Lee County residents ages 50 and older. The event will begin with light refreshments, followed by a panel presentation by local attorneys. Advance registration is required. Participants should email Nanci@leecountylegalaid.org with contact information, a brief description of the legal advice being sought, and any relevant documents.

May 10 

The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels are hosting a postgame concert featuring “Man in the Mirror: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band.” The concert is free with the purchase of a game ticket, which starts at $10. The evening also features the first Beerfest of the 2025 season, Bark in the Park and United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades’ “United for a Cause” fundraising event at Hammond Stadium.

May 10 

Southwest Florida residents can participate in the National Association of Letter Carriers’ 2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, which benefits Harry Chapin Food Bank, by placing a plastic or paper bag filled with non-perishable, shelf-stable foods near their mailbox in the morning. Letter carriers will then deliver donations to local food banks.

May 11 

Old Vines Naples at Mercato is inviting moms and mother figures to sit back, relax and enjoy a delectable Mother’s Day Brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy a selection of crave-worthy dishes, endless bubbles and zero cleanup!

May 18 

The Dubin Center will host its Backyard Game Day event at Bay Street Yard to help provide services to local families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. The event will have food, drinks and a lively tournament featuring ping pong, cornhole and more.

May 24 

All Sunshine Ace Hardware retail stores in Southwest Florida will be hosting a Stars & Stripes BBQ Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that features hot-off-the-grill food samples, fun and product demos, along with exclusive deals and discounts only available to guests at the BBQ Party.

May 28 

Musicians Isaac Dorio and Matthew Johnson perform on saxophone and piano, featuring works of American composers in a musical dialogue hosted by the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples. The two are recent graduates of Collier County Public Schools now studying music in college. Tickets are $18, with free admission for teachers and students.
