MarineMax Yacht Gala
DATE: Friday, Jan. 24
The ninth annual MarineMax Yacht Gala, An Evening Under the Stars, is set against the backdrop of yachts and includes crafted cocktails, a plated dinner, dancing, and silent and live auctions. The event benefits Golisano Children’s Hospital through Lee Health Foundation.

Lee County Sports Development and Perfect Game are teaming to raffle a YETI Backpack Cooler with a pair of custom YETI Ramblers, with proceeds benefiting United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades.

The 13th annual LCEC 5K for United Way, which benefits United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades, includes a 5K live event, 5K virtual, Kids Half-Mile Fun Run and Tot Trot. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers, male and female, in multiple age groups.

Alta Rockers, a group of vintage men who find fellowship playing music from their youth, will perform at an event for the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples that celebrates Jewish singer-songwriters.

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business networking event will be held at Face it Botox Bar – Aesthetic, Laser & Wellness in Fort Myers, where guests will enjoy light refreshments while networking with professionals in a supportive environment. Feminine products for The Cycle Project will be collected at this event.

Gulf Coast Village’s Cocktails, Conversations and Creative Collaborations offers opportunities to sip on handcrafted, signature cocktails and savor delicious appetizers while mingling with residents to learn more about Cape Coral’s only Life Plan Community. Members of a resident panel will participate in a Q&A session with the audience.

The third annual Pedal for a Purpose, powered by Cyclebar Fort Myers, is a fundraising event in which participants ride on stationary bicycles and pedal to raise money for the Lee Health Cancer Institute through the Lee Health Foundation.

The 2024-25 Jewish Book Festival continues with three discussions in January: The Art of Diplomacy by Stuart E. Eizenstat on Jan. 10, The Goddess of Warsaw by Lisa Barr on Jan. 21 and When Women Ran Fifth Avenue by Julie Satow on Jan. 29. The series seeks to enrich, entertain and engage members of the community.

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s Annual Meeting will highlight key steps forward in the the region’s conservation efforts while exploring the challenges and opportunities in the coming year.

Senior Choice at Home’s January seminar in Punta Gorda will outline residential and health care options for seniors interested in aging at home. The event will include an informative presentation covering the program’s asset protection, commitment to providing for future care needs and the importance of having a personal care coordinator.

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce welcomes business leaders and community members to Business Unplugged, a casual networking event for chamber members and guests to make connections to expand their business and professional outlook. This session will be held at Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida.

The Lee County Bar Association is hosting a Swearing-in Ceremony to induct the organization’s new slate of officers with a theme of “New Vision: Engagement.” Guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages after the ceremony.

Kids’ Minds Matter is touring Southwest Florida to enhance mental health awareness and end the stigma associated with talking about mental health issues. January’s session in Naples is aimed at Collier County youth and will allow teens and adolescents to voice their concerns, struggles and successes.

Pace Center for Girls, Lee will host its Faces of Pace Gala at Burroughs Home & Gardens in Fort Myers. The masquerade event includes dinner, dancing, music, and live and silent auctions. Recognizing the many Faces of Pace, the event theme focuses on “Unmasking Girls’ Potential” and will include stories of success from current and former Pace Lee students.

Business Before Breakfast, a monthly networking session with light refreshments and hot coffee, has a theme of “What you do early today can improve all your tomorrows.” The program includes a brief presentation by event host Edward Jones Financial Advisor’s Cheryl Admire Bergau. Early rising guests are encouraged to bring business cards.

Naples Center for Functional Medicine will host a free seminar intended to help participants optimize their health and wellness. Dr. Lina Sakr will present “A Deeper Detox: Going Beyond the Juice Cleanse to Feel Your Best in 2025.”

Better Together is offering a Better Jobs Church Partner Volunteer Training session in Fort Myers that introduces a comprehensive set of steps that church families can take to create job fairs in their communities.

Better Together is partnering with Fort Myers Community Church for a pop-up job fair that connects hiring employers and job seekers. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available that include resume reviews and polishing interviewing skills.

The 40th annual Everglades Coalition Conference, hosted by the National Parks Conservation Association, has a theme of Reflections on Progress and Opportunities. It’s the largest forum for discussing restoration of the Florida Everglades, with panel topics to include community involvement; climate change; indigenous knowledge and perspectives; conservation partnerships; economic impacts; and reflections on progress.

The second annual Caring for the Cape is an evening event featuring island-inspired giving through the Lee Health Foundation. Guests will enjoy Caribbean-inspired cuisine, tropical cocktails and a live auction to support Lee Health’s expansion projects in Cape Coral.
