Check out the list of client events in December 2024. Each of the events listed is open to the public; some are free events, while others require tickets or RSVPs.

It’s the season of giving in Southwest Florida, and that means many businesses and nonprofits are collecting monetary gifts and donations of toys, clothing, gift cards and other items for local youth. Below are a few options for those wishing to support children and teens in our community during this holiday season.
Priority Marketing is again serving as a drop-off location for Better Together’s annual Christmas Toy Drive. Donors can deliver new, unwrapped toys for children and teens up to 17 years to the firm’s Fort Myers office during regular business hours through Dec. 10.

Child Care of Southwest Florida’s Holiday Gift Celebration and Giving Tuesday Kickoff event at Bruno’s of Brooklyn includes hors d’ouevres, a cash bar, silent auction and gemstone raffle. The first $2,500 raised will be matched to provide clothing, toys and partial scholarships.

Elite DNA Behavioral Health is collecting new and unwrapped toys to support the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida’s Christmas Toy Drive. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 5 and toys will be distributed to local children and families.

Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz is collecting toys that will be distributed by the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Toys will be collected through Dec. 10 and be distributed to local social welfare agencies, church groups and other organizations.

Premier Mobile Health Services is collecting new, unwrapped toys and bicycles for local children in advance of its sixth annual Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 14.

Through Dec. 1
Sunshine Ace Hardware’s special Letters to Santa stations will close on Dec. 1. Children across Southwest Florida are encouraged to write letters to Santa Claus, detailing their Christmas wishes, which will be forwarded to the North Pole.

Dec. 2
Child Care of Southwest Florida’s Holiday Gift Celebration and Giving Tuesday Kick-Off features heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a silent auction and a precious gemstone raffle. Event proceeds will help purchase clothing and toys for children, as well as fund partial holiday tuition scholarships for low-income families.

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida is hosting a virtual symposium on nature-based and hybrid solutions to challenges such as flooding, high heat days and worsening water quality. Distinguished speakers represent more than a dozen government and environmental organizations.

Theo Dahl, son of the legendary author Roald Dahl, and his wife, Madeleine, are hosting a Willy Wonka Holiday Party that includes hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and tour of their fantastical home decorated for the holidays. Proceeds benefit Lee Health Cancer Institute.

Dec. 6
Naples Center for Functional Medicine’s December seminar will offer tips to avoid overindulging and gaining weight during the holiday season. Dr. George Moricz will lead this session while outlining the benefits of a root-cause approach to health and wellness.

Ocean Prime and Del Mar will take part in Fifth Avenue South’s Christmas in Naples. The two-day event features dinner on the Avenue from more than 20 restaurants, music, vendors and more. There will also be a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at about 6 p.m. on Dec. 6.

Sunshine Ace Hardware will host a family-friendly Grand Opening Celebration to mark the debut of Ave Maria’s first hardware store. The three-day event features BBQ grilling parties, multiple giveaways for adults and children, product demos and exclusive discounts.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Naples’ fall 2024 Elliott Katz Lecture Series continues in December with a trio of weekly discussions. This month’s topics are “The President Who Ignored the Constitution” on Dec. 6, “The American Banker Who Financed Germany’s War and Mass Murder” on Dec. 13 and “The Shush-Shush Jews” on Dec. 20.

Jewish Federation of Greater Naples’ Matzah Ball 2024, a 55-and-under event for married people and singles, will feature 1980s styles with a Chanukah twist. The event includes music, food and signature drinks.

The seventh annual Porsche & Friends Parade features a string of exotic automobiles traveling to Golisano Children’s Hospital to raise funds for the new Golisano Pediatric Surgery Center through the Lee Health Foundation.

Old Vines Naples at Mercato launched its new weekend brunch service featuring bottomless mimosas and innovative cocktails paired with sweet and savory menu items. The 2024-25 Jewish Book Festival continues with a discussion titled “The Most Human” featuring Adam Nimoy, son of Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy. The Jewish Federation of Greater Naples’ series seeks to enrich, entertain and engage members of the community.

Gulf Coast Village’s Holiday Sip & Shop offers “Retail Therapy on the Go,” bringing participants to an upscale sidewalk sale featuring exquisite jewelry, designer clothing, handbags and accessories at steep discounts. Attendees also will have opportunities to win raffle prizes and tour the community’s Holiday of Homes decorations.

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s annual Holiday Party, one of the organization’s signature events, is a night of networking, laughter and seasonal cheer. This year’s theme is Casino Night.

Premier Mobile Health Services is hosting its sixth annual Breakfast with Santa at City of Palms Park. The event includes visits with Santa (who will come bearing gifts), as well as free health screenings and flu shots, opportunities to meet firefighters and police officers, giveaways of bicycles and bike helmets, and more.
