Jimmy Buffet Day
Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach Resort’s second annual Day of Service will honor the legacy of the late Jimmy Buffett’s commitment to community service and making the world a better place. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Margaritaville will host a Carnival of Fun on the Sunset Terrace and in the Compass Rose Ballroom that features family-friendly fun, including games, activities, crafts, a variety of sensory-specific opportunities and empowering social engagement for all ages. The day’s entertainment schedule also includes live music. Drink specials throughout the weekend will be served in limited-edition commemorative cups, with proceeds from the sale of each drink supporting My Autism Connection.

The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels are bringing the islands to Hammond Stadium with Margaritaville Night. Fans can take photos with parrots and have a chance to win a stay at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach. The evening concludes with a fireworks show set to a reggae soundtrack.

The Lee County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division is presenting Junk Food with Judges, an opportunity for bar members to munch on their favorite snacks alongside their favorite judges. Members who bring canned goods to donate will receive a free slice of pizza.

Time is running out to register for Sunshine Ace Hardware’s Sunshine and Storms Giveaway, which concludes Aug. 5 with a live Facebook broadcast to select winners of hurricane prep supplies, including a generator and prize baskets containing a cooler, fan, batteries and other critical supplies.

Lee County is home to 19 A-rated and 31 B-rated public schools through the Florida Department of Education, and The School District of Lee County is one of the region’s largest employers with over 12,000 teachers, administrators and support staff.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County begins its After-School Program for the 2025-26 school year. Club members participate in a variety of educational, character development and recreation programs, and staff offers homework assistance to help reinforce learning.
