The tasting brought wine enthusiasts to the garden, raising more than $14,000
The Wonder Gardens hosted its inaugural “Wine and Wonder Uncorked,” a wine tasting in the gardens, Saturday, Dec. 2, delighting more than 250 guests and raising more than $14,000 to support the nonprofit gardens, a planned animal care center and new experiences for guests.
The event offered tastings of red, white, Rosé and sparkling wines paired with cheeses, crackers and fruits. Emily Roberts, owner concierge of Oakwood Vines, presented exclusive wines from the Boisset wineries in Napa, Sonoma and Burgundy. A selection of eight red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines was available. During the event, guests were encouraged to stroll and enjoy The Wonder Gardens as musician Vic Guittard and Ken Straud entertained them with cool jazz.
The nonprofit Wonder Gardens relies on philanthropy and guest admissions to support the animals and gardens, as well as plan for the future. To donate or learn about upcoming events, visit wondergardens.org.
