The School District of Lee County is holding an information session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 1 for those interested in exploring career opportunities as a school bus driver.
The session will be held at the Lee County Public Education Center, 2855 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.
Required job qualifications for school bus drivers include at least five years of driving experience, a satisfactory driving record and a social security card. The District will provide training for candidates who do not already possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
The starting pay for bus drivers in Lee County is $14.01 per hour, and the District offers flexible hours, training reimbursement and access to a complete benefits package for full-time employees.
