District hiring educators for the 2018-19 school year
The School District of Lee County in Florida is hosting a Virtual Teacher Recruitment Fair for prospective education professionals on Thursday, Dec. 7. Interviews will be held between 5 – 7 p.m. EST, providing opportunities for out-of-state candidates to learn more about The School District of Lee County and take part in one-on-one interviews with representatives from the District. The event is by invitation only, and those interested in receiving an invitation to the fair can register on The School District of Lee County website at www.leeschools.net/careers to the “Pool-Virtual (Online) Teacher Recruitment Fair” vacancy, using Job ID 20173949. Registration must be completed by Dec. 4.
The District is currently hiring to fill a range of teaching positions, including elementary, middle and high school teachers, special education, science and mathematics teachers and reading and language arts teachers. Contracts for the upcoming 2018-19 school year will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Necessary qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or higher, valid Florida teacher certification covering appropriate area of responsibility, demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication, demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and experience with industry-standard computer applications.
The event is open to candidates who currently hold certification in or who are interested in pursuing certification in prekindergarten, elementary education, English and language arts, all levels of math, all levels of science, school psychology, special education K-12 and speech language pathology. Eligible candidates should send transcripts, a valid teaching certificate and the instructional document submission form to The School District of Lee County Human Resources Department in advance of the event. Candidates with out-of-state teaching certificates are encouraged to apply for a Florida teaching certification prior to participating in the fair.
