Celebrating its 16th year, the 2024 Southwest Florida Wine and Food Fest, held in January, was sponsored by The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company.
The annual event took place on Friday, Jan. 19 at various private venues across the region and Saturday, Jan. 20 at Suncoast Arena at Florida SouthWestern State College.
The Wine and Food Fest is the fundraising arm of SWFL Children’s Charities, Inc., which supports programs at Golisano Children’s Hospital and scholarships for students attending Florida SouthWestern State College and Florida Gulf Coast University.
This year’s event raised more than $2 million to support Golisano’s new outpatient surgery center located on the HealthPark campus in Fort Myers.
“We are proud to support the Southwest Florida Wine and Food Fest, an event that aligns with our values of community enrichment,” said The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company Founder and Chairman S. Albert D. Hanser. “Southwest Florida is not only our business landscape, but our home, and investing in initiatives such as healthcare for children is a natural extension of our dedication to the region’s growth and vitality.”
The Wine and Food Fest has raised more than $27 million dollars since its inception in 2009.
