The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company is the title sponsor of this year’s Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum and Aquarium benefit gala. The event, Night at the Museum, will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the museum, located at 3075 Sanibel Captiva Road in Sanibel.
Night at the Museum will include cocktails in the Living Gallery of Aquariums and dinner in The Great Hall of Shells with its soaring 30-foot ceiling and artful original windows by Luc Century.
Attendees will enjoy an evening of live music by Danny Morgan and Amy Sbarra, and a delicious dinner catered by Artichoke & Co. A live auction of original items and experiences, as well as a paddle raise, will comprise part of the dinner program.
The gala supports the final stages of the facility’s rebuild and is also an investment in the museum’s future. The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum and Aquarium is beginning its re-opening in phases starting in February.
“We are thrilled to support the museum’s gala as they prepare to re-open to the public,” said The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company Founder and Chairman S. Albert D. Hanser. “As long-time members of the island community, we are pleased to see the museum coming back better than ever after the devastation from Hurricane Ian.”
