The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks welcomes five new board members

The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks has welcomed Sheryl Soukup, Rafeh Masood, Roxanne Whiddon, Jorge L. Gómez-Möller and Cristy Lloveras to its board of directors. As members of the board, they will each help further the mission of The Alliance and shape the future of education, exploration and conservation across the Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, Biscayne National Park and Dry Tortugas National Park.

Sheryl Soukup is a passionate advocate for mission-driven work that strengthens communities and preserves Florida’s natural treasures. She brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, including service on boards and committees at the local and statewide level. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Soukup’s professional experience spans a wide range of industries and disciplines, with work in nonprofits, small business and corporate environments. She served as an executive director and chief executive officer for nonprofits in Southwest Florida for 10 years before founding Soukup Strategic Solutions, a nonprofit consulting firm, in 2012.

Rafeh Masood is the chief growth and digital officer of Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL), a global cruise company. In this role, he oversees digital experiences, data and AI, travel commerce platforms and cross-brand awareness across the company’s family of brands to strengthen customer relationships. Masood earned his Master of Business Administration in Leadership & Change Management from DePaul University. In addition to serving on the board of The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks, Masood sits on the board of directors at Harley Davidson (NYSE: HOG), and he’s an adjunct faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University.

Roxanne Whiddon brings a wealth of experience as an event planner and philanthropist in Southwest Florida. She is deeply committed to her Naples community and passionate about conservation and education. Whiddon earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida, and she is an active committee member for The Neighborhood Clinic of Naples, co-chairing the annual “Neighborhood Bash.” She has also served as event chair for the Royal Palm Academy Gala and the Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) Backyard Bash.

Jorge L. Gómez-Möller brings expertise in corporate strategy and legal structuring, as Partner at Driftwood Capital, serving as the firm’s general counsel and chief legal officer. He directs Driftwood’s in-house legal team and outside counsel across all fund-level and asset-level legal matters. Additionally, he helps direct the firm’s operations and corporate strategy. An avid outdoorsman and Coral Gables native, Gómez-Möller enjoys fishing, sailing, paddleboarding and golf, among other outdoor sports.

Cristy Lloveras is a lifelong explorer and a firm believer that spending time in nature sparks curiosity and dedication to conservation. She is the founder of MCL, an event planning and creative studio based in Miami that focuses on designing meaningful celebrations and experiences.
