The 12th Annual Golisano Children’s Hospital Fashion Show raises $109,340

The event in Bonita Springs benefits the hospital’s planned pediatric surgery center

The 12th Annual Golisano Children’s Hospital Fashion Show raised $109,340 to support the planned Golisano Children’s Hospital Surgery Center. The event was Nov. 12 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs.

The event featured a silent auction, luncheon and a fashion show modeled by hospital patients, their families, Lee Health leadership and community supporters.

“This fun event brought together the community to celebrate what we do at Golisano Children’s Hospital, paving the way for more ways to serve the children in Southwest Florida,” said Chief Nursing and Operations Executive for Golisano Children’s Hospital, Alyssa Bostwick. “We are so grateful to Pelican Landing, fashion show participants and sponsors for helping us to continue to enhance the care available to the area’s children.”

Golisano Children’s Hospital plans to open an outpatient surgery center adjacent to the main campus. The surgery center will provide a calming environment for standard procedures such as tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, and ear tube placements, freeing up resources for pediatric neurosurgery, trauma cases, fractures and more. The center will help to reduce wait times, increase efficiency, lower costs and improve access to emergency services.
