Priority Marketing President and Senior Creative Director Teri Hansen, APR, has joined Better Together’s new Community Board representing Southwest Florida.
Better Together is a voluntary, community-driven alternative to foster care. The nonprofit works to keep families together through two programs – Better Families and Better Jobs. Better Families has a 98% success rate of reunifying children with their parents, while Better Jobs has helped more than 34,000 job seekers find employment through church-based job fairs. Since its inception, Better Together has provided temporary homes to more than 3,102 Southwest Florida children.
“Better Together is bringing families back together and helping job seekers land gainful employment, both of which can make Southwest Florida a stronger community,” Teri said. “I am excited to help play a role as Better Together creates more success stories for families across the region.”
Joining Teri on the Southwest Florida board are Bess Charles (LadyCakes Bakery), Bryan Blackwell (Southern Oak Wealth Management), Chadd Hodges (Best Home Services), Cory Demmel (Cape Christian Church), Josh Dorcey (The Dorcey Law Firm) and Michael Deluca (HBK CPAs & Consultants). During their two-year term, board members will be responsible for raising awareness, support and funding for essential programs provided within the community.
“As the reach of Better Together’s mission grows further outside our region and into new areas of need across the U.S., establishing community boards are vital for providing the best quality of life for deserving families everywhere,” said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. “We’re excited to name the hand-selected group of local industry leaders to our first community board, who will serve as the trusted voices of our neighborhoods in Southwest Florida.”
