Since founding Priority Marketing 32 years ago, Teri Hansen, APR, has prioritized family, faith and the community. Beyond successfully raising a daughter and serving as the impetus behind countless success stories for clients, Teri’s generosity has been evident for decades.
Over the years, Priority Marketing has contributed more than $6 million in pro bono and discounted professional services to local nonprofits, while Teri has personally given her time and talents to serve on many boards and committees.
Her incredible track record of generosity was recently recognized by the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, which honored Teri with the Friends of Janet Philanthropy Award. The award was established in memory of Janet Wilson, a beloved and respected member of Southwest Florida’s PR community who passed away in 2019. The award was presented Oct. 21 at FPRA’s SWFL Chapter Awards, which were held at the Embassy Suites in Estero.
The Friends of Janet award recognizes active FPRA chapter members who embody the spirit of Janet’s philanthropy while demonstrating a proven track record of dedication to the community through volunteering and leadership. Honorees must consistently demonstrate generosity by giving their time, talent and treasure to benefit our community while leading by example to inspire others to do the same.
“A longtime friend of Janet, she continues to honor Janet’s legacy through her generous spirit and dedication to giving back,” Senior Director of Public Relations Holly Boldrin, APR, CPRC, said during her introduction of Teri. “Whether supporting nonprofits, mentoring young professionals or responding to community needs in times of crisis, she consistently leads with compassion and purpose. Her dedication to philanthropy is as inspiring as it is impactful.”
Congratulations, Teri!
