SWFL Children’s Charities, Inc. has named Paul Hobbs of Paul Hobbs Winery as the Honored Signature Vintner of the 2020 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest.
Regarded as an international visionary for his accomplishments in the vineyard and winery, Hobbs couples his childhood roots on the family farm with an innovative scientific approach to refine the art of winemaking. Along with his global consulting career, he is the owner and winemaker for Sebastopol, California based wineries, Paul Hobbs Winery and CrossBarn, as well as his international partnerships, Viña Cobos (Mendoza, Argentina), Crocus (Cahors, France) and Yacoubian-Hobbs (Armenia).
Paul Hobbs Winery, founded by Hobbs in 1991, is known for its “wines with a sense of place.”
“The true character of a site is only revealed through the work and determination of tending each vineyard with meticulous care and vinifying with minimalist winemaking techniques that fully express the terroir,” said Hobbs.
“We are honored to have Paul Hobbs join this year’s Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest as Honored Signature Vintner, and look forward to celebrating Paul Hobbs Winery’s unique offerings as we come together to paint a difference in the lives of children throughout Southwest Florida,” said Sandy Stilwell Youngquist, SWFL Children’s Charities trustee and co-chair of the event.
