Successful side hustles: Leadership NEXT goes virtual for May 12 program

Leadership NEXT, a monthly program for advancing business professionals, will host a virtual program at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 to highlight the ins and outs of how to make a side hustle successful.

As the effects of the pandemic have continued to rock the business community, many are looking for alternate or supplemental sources of income. Leadership NEXT’s May program is geared toward professionals who are wondering how to get a side hustle off the ground, who are looking for new ideas or who have a successful side hustle to share. The virtual networking and educational session provides an opportunity to reconnect and engage with other area professionals from the comfort of home.

Leading the conversation is savvy side hustler Kelly Legarreta. Legarreta is a professional actress who has been working in Southwest Florida for the past 20 years and is a staple at Broadway Palm. In addition to acting, she also has been a canine and equine massage therapist for the past 15 years with her own company, Healing Pawsabilities. Along the way, Legarreta’s entrepreneurial spirit has led her towards side hustles that have brought extra income, convenience and joy into her life, as well as the lives of her clients and colleagues.

Attendees of Leadership NEXT represent a variety of businesses and industries throughout Southwest Florida. Sessions take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month and offer opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills, establish working relationships with colleagues and engage in valuable programs and discussions to further enhance their careers. Leadership NEXT’s annual sponsor is the Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni Association.

Leadership NEXT’s virtual May program is free for all. Virtual attendees can register in advance at FortMyers.org to receive webinar login credentials.
