Stevens Construction has won three Sand Dollar awards from the Collier Building Industry Association.
In a ceremony held on Sept. 30 at the Ritz-Carlton Tiburón in Naples, Stevens Construction earned a Sand Dollar award in the $3 to $5 million healthcare category for the Naples Community Hospital fourth floor renovation. Stevens Construction completed a 22,594-square-foot project in February 2017, which houses a 23-bed oncology specialty care department and a 12-bed behavioral health treatment center.
Stevens Construction also earned a Sand Dollar award for best renovation project in the $1 to $3 million category for The French, located at 365 5th Avenue South in Naples. The French transports diners to a Parisian brasserie with architectural elements such as custom embossed tin ceilings, oversized antiqued mirrors, red leather seating, black and white mosaic flooring and hand-painted, original murals.
In the best commercial $1 to $3 million category, Stevens Construction earned a Sand Dollar award for a new outdoor wildlife rehabilitation area at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s von Arx Wildlife Hospital. The expansion included new wildlife recovery areas and outside structures that allows the Conservancy to enhance its care of wildlife with the goal of rehabilitating animals and returning them to the wild.
Stevens Construction has earned six Sand Dollar awards since 2015. Sand Dollar awards are presented annually to building, design and marketing professionals who have demonstrated excellence within the building industry in Collier County. Entries are judged on unique features of the project, unusual constraints, and the how the project addresses the needs of the target market.
