Stevens Construction has expanded its Fort Myers operations with the addition of four new team members: Tiffany Cleland as accounting assistant, Leslie Rider as project administrator and Brian Lawhon and Mike Wood as superintendents, announced Mark Stevens, company president.
Cleland joins Stevens Construction with 15 years of commercial real estate experience, previously serving as the director of property management for a local commercial real estate property manager. The Ohio State University graduate manages all accounts payable for Stevens Construction, and also leads accounting tasks such company credit cards and subcontractor payment applications.
As project administrator, Rider oversees administrative tasks including permitting, change orders, direct materials invoicing and close-outs. With more than 10 years of administrative experience, she previously served as permitting manager for a plumbing company.
Lawhon brings 40 years of construction experience in Florida. His previous project experience includes 40,000-square-feet of construction at Florida Gulf Coast University and a restoration of the Charlotte County Courthouse.
Wood brings 25 years of construction experience to Stevens Construction. In his previous position, he completed more than 70,000-square-feet of health care construction for various campuses of Lee Health.
As superintendents, Lawhon and Wood manage the on-site supervision of commercial and health care projects, specifically handling inspections, safety meetings, daily job reports and all tasks that are instrumental to the success of the project.
