Stevens Construction has completed construction of Southwest Florida Music Education Center, announced Daniel Adams, executive vice president, Stevens Construction, Inc.
Stevens Construction provided a 3,237-square-foot interior renovation, transforming a former banking branch into a world-class music education center for neurodivergent students with a strong interest in music and low to moderate support needs. Southwest Florida Music Education Center provides students with music education, life skills and growth opportunities that enrich their lives and the community as a whole.
Stevens Construction demolished the existing interior, removed three bank vaults and provided new framing, sound-proof drywall, insulation and finishes to include non-toxic paint, flooring, cabinetry and an upgraded air filtration system.
Located at 5551 Ridgewood Drive, Suite 100, Southwest Florida Music Education Center includes six soundproof practice rooms, a rehearsal area, music technology laboratory, quiet room, living room, employee lounge and administrative support.
Stevens Construction saved the client $140,000 in cost-savings suggestions during the design and completed the project in two months.
The Stevens Construction team includes Project Executive Joe Cimilluca, Project Manager Gio Cardet, Superintendent Adam Ehelebe and Project Administrator Belen Bretsnyder. Architectural services were provided by Parker Mudgett Smith Architects, Inc.
