South Seas to host two-day interactive hiring experience as island resort reopens

South Seas is hosting a two-day interactive job fair with the goal of hiring at least 100 employees over the next 90 days to support the resort’s phased reopening following its closure due to recent hurricanes. The engaging, high-energy event, in partnership with Indeed, will be held Jan. 7-8 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m. at The Ranch Concert Hall and Saloon, located at 2158 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.

Designed to break the mold of a traditional job fair with a focus on creating connections in a social setting, the event will feature a live food and beverage action station, music and interactive stations designed to guide applicants through a variety of engaging experiences and introduce them to the various hiring teams and match them to available positions.

“South Seas is a destination of choice not only for generations of guest families, but also for generations of hard-working associates and we’re thrilled to welcome new and returning team members back to South Seas,” said Shawn Farrell, general manager of South Seas. “This is not your traditional job fair, as we are creating an engaging, high-energy experience designed to offer candidates a relational, interactive experience that reflects that experience and joy we strive to bring to our guests every day at South Seas.”

South Seas is hiring for a variety of hospitality positions including restaurant manager, chef, bartenders and servers, recreation attendants, gate greeter, golf and retail attendants, front desk agent, owner relations manager, trolley drivers and many more. In addition to offering a competitive salary, South Seas offers generous benefits including low-cost medical, dental and vision care plans, paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability, an employee assistance program, transportation and toll programs, a 401K with company match, a referral bonus, paid time off, monthly and annual recognition and performance reviews, and commuter and company-paid toll programs.

Candidates are encouraged to register online in advance or may arrive at least 30 minutes in advance of any session for onsite registration assistance. Candidates will need to be present for the full two hours for each registered session.

The job fair comes as South Seas has recently reopened to guests. The Clutch, a nine-hole golf course with a putting green and club rentals is open, along with The Shops at South Seas including Provisions, Starbucks and Shell City Burger food truck. Additionally, the Bayview pools and Island Tacos food truck are open to guests. Additional resort amenities are coming online in early 2025, including the Bayview Fishing Pier, The Clutch Clubhouse and several dining options including Redfish Grill, Scoops & Slices and Harborside. Guests can also enjoy the community’s 2.5 miles of pristine, white-sand beaches best known for their spectacular sunsets, world-renowned shelling and incredible natural wildlife.
