Shell Point’s 2019-2020 Fine and Performing Arts Series welcomes The Queen’s Cartoonists March 5

Shell Point Retirement Community’s 2019-2020 Fine and Performing Arts Series continues its Performing Arts program with a performance by The Queen’s Cartoonists at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 at The Village Church auditorium on The Island at Shell Point, 15100 Shell Point Blvd. in Fort Myers. Tickets for this event cost $40 and can be purchased online at www.shellpoint.org/concerts or by phone at 239-454-2067.

The Queen’s Cartoonists will play music from classic cartoons and contemporary animation. The performances are synchronized to video projections of the original films, and the band leads the audience through a world of virtuosic musicianship, multi-instrumental mayhem and comedy. Tying this diverse concert together are comedic anecdotes involving the cartoons and their composers.

During this performance, expect to hear a repertoire that will include the Golden Age of animation, cult cartoon classics, modern animation and elements of a musical circus.
