Shell Point’s 2018-2019 Fine and Performing Arts Series welcomes David Crohan Nov. 6

Shell Point Retirement Community kicks off the Concerts and Conversations program of its 2018-2019 Fine and Performing Arts Series with a performance by pianist, David Crohan, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the Grand Cypress Room at The Woodlands at Shell Point, 15100 Shell Point Blvd. in Fort Myers. Tickets for this event cost $30 and can be purchased online at www.shellpoint.org/concerts or by phone at 239-454-2067.

Blind since birth, Crohan has become one of the most versatile pianists performing today, crossing the traditional boundaries between classical and jazz music with ease and sophistication. Crohan displayed musical precociousness at the age of three, and later earned his master’s degree in music from the New England Conservatory of Music. His distinguished audiences have included Bill and Hillary Clinton, Lady Bird Johnson, James Taylor, Carly Simon and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy on the occasion of her 100th birthday.

During this performance, Crohan will include music from his vast repertoire that spans from Beethoven, Scott Joplin and Andrew Lloyd Webber to the Beatles and Billy Joel. The program will draw on Crohan’s extensive classical training and expertise in music from bygone eras.
