Embrace the flavors and scents of fall at Shangri-La Springs, a historic property in downtown Bonita Springs celebrating 100 years, at a garden tour and tea on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m.
“We are happy to again offer the popular monthly tea parties,” said Lee Bellamy, Shangri-La Springs general manager. “Our organic property with a unique variety of plants is the perfect place to introduce people to the benefits of organic tea while enjoying the outdoors.”
The teas are planned for the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. Reservations are limited and required.
The events start with an educational tour of the garden focusing on tea-specific plants, followed by a tea party with socially distanced tables in the property’s poolside and Mediterranean-inspired longhouse building. Light bites and tea will be offered along with a discussion and question and answers about various tea plants with Shangri-La Springs’ Organic Garden Manager Cecelia Morales. Guests are invited to enjoy social time at the tables, meditation or a walk around the landscaped property. In keeping with the resort’s zero-waste goals, each guest will receive a reusable branded tea mug.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $30 per person, including the tea mug. Each event is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. Shangri-La Springs is located at 27750 Old 41 Road in Bonita Springs. For information or to register, call 239-949-0749.
