Foodies fill stomachs, dining rooms across SWFL 

Southwest Floridians dined with a purpose throughout September, trying out new restaurants across Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties to support local restauranteurs, their employees and children in need. Restaurant patrons enjoyed opportunities to try prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus, with $1 from every meal supporting Blessings in a Backpack Southwest Florida. Priority Marketing partnered with Sizzle Dining for near-daily spotlights on Gulf Coast News, as well as other television, print, radio and online media outlets throughout September. Bonita Springs attraction unveils new worlds of wonder 

Wonder Gardens unveiled a pair of exhibits showcasing some of the historic attraction’s most popular inhabitants: (1) The Robert & Deborah Blain Otter Grotto is a naturalistic, engaging habitat for Ivy and Mae, two rescued female American river otters from Louisiana; and (2) The Dorothy Guigon Vivarium, now home to two juvenile American Alligators, Jessie and James. Both projects came to fruition following generous donations from supporters.

A patriotic run to support first responders and military 

In advance of 9/11, local runners and community members convened for the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers. The event, which was chaired locally by Taylor Carpet One’s Lauren Taylor, benefits the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization that supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes and their families.

Girls soar to new heights at Naples Airport 

More than 50 Girl Scouts had opportunities to climb aboard vintage planes, learn aircraft marshalling signals, and meet Collier County MedFlight pilots and EMTs during Girls in Aviation Day at Naples Airport. Girls in Aviation Day was a collaborative event between the airport and Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida designed to help girls and young women explore career opportunities within aviation.

Awards and honors: Client recognitions

New faces in new places: Promotions and appointments 

Priority Marketing congratulates individuals who were recently hired, promoted or awarded additional responsibilities by its client partners, including: 

  • Sunshine Ace Hardware elevated four associates to leadership roles as store managers: Adolfo Lopez, Reiner van Dinten, Matt Kurtz and Paul Forte. 
  • The Florida Airports Council appointed three Naples Airport representatives to statewide leadership positions: Chris Rozansky, Justin Lobb and Barry Brown. 
  • Better Together promoted Kayla Palacios to chief operating officer.
