The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company’s 2023 speaker series is presenting “The Invisible Patient” with Annalee Kruger, an author, senior care advisor and caregiver advocate. The author of “The Invisible Patient” will speak on Friday, Feb. 24 about how caregivers can fulfill their role without losing themselves in the process.

“Caring for a family member can be a rewarding experience, but the stress involved can cause caregivers to put themselves and their wellbeing in the background, resulting in ‘the invisible patient,’” Kruger said.

“So many of our clients care for an aging parent, sibling in need or adult child, and the responsibilities can be overwhelming,” said Megan Marquardt, CFP®, CTFA, Wealth Advisor for The Trust Company. “Annalee’s advice comes at an ideal time and will help many.”

The presentation will begin with a complimentary continental breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and a 10 a.m. program at the Event Center, 1901 Brantley Road, Suite 7, in Fort Myers.

The speaker series concludes Tuesday, April 4, with “The Past, Present and Future of Southwest Florida.” Aysegul Timur, vice president and vice provost of strategy and program innovation at Florida Gulf Coast University, will cover Southwest Florida from the perspectives of demographics, economics, employment and economic opportunities, education and more. Timur is also a member of the Regional Economic Research Institute.

Seating is limited, and reservations are required. Program is designed for people with $2 million and higher in investable assets. Contact Frances Steger at fsteger@sancaptrustco.com or call 239-472-8300.
