Presentation at Priority Marketing

Registration is now open for the 39th Annual Everglades Coalition Conference, hosted by the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. The conference will take place from Jan. 25 through Jan. 27 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort in Bonita Springs, Florida.

The Everglades Coalition, an alliance of 60 conservation and environmental organizations, hosts the conference each year to educate attendees about the progress on the full restoration of the Greater Everglades Ecosystem.

The theme of the upcoming event is Everglades Restoration Rewards: Benefitting Ecosystems, Economies and Communities. The three-day conference is the largest forum for discussing the restoration of the Everglades, as well as challenges and future opportunities. Conservation groups, elected officials, business leaders, partners at the local, state and tribal levels, scientists and students will attend the conference to further the discussion on restoring and protecting the Florida Everglades.

“The Everglades Coalition Conference brings together some of the most experienced Everglades restoration experts, scientists, policymakers and advocates in the country to address the most pressing issues facing the River of Grass,” said Kelly Cox, co-chair of the Everglades Coalition.

As the host sponsor, the Conservancy of Southwest Florida will host a reception on Jan. 25 for guests. Additional sponsors of the event include “Florida Bay” sponsors: “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society, Bergeron Everglades Foundation, Family Lands Remembered, the RedSnook Catch & Release Charity Tournament, Environmental Defense Fund, Florida Oceanographic Society, National Parks Conservation Association; “Kissimmee Prairie” sponsors: Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida and Audubon; “Pahayokee” sponsor Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership; “Big Cypress” sponsors: Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife, Reef Relief, Friends of the Everglades, Everglades Day Safari, Lewis Longman & Walker; Center for Biological Diversity, Everglades Law Center, Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW); Naples Orchid Society; “Sawgrass Roots” sponsor: Sierra Club Loxahatchee Group.

“As the movement for restoration ramps up, we want to get people involved in any way possible,” said Mark Perry, co-chair of the Everglades Coalition. “This conference gives us the chance to get all hands on deck to support America’s Everglades.”

Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Students and teachers can also receive discounted tickets to the conference; please contact info@evergladescoalition.org for more information.
