Rachel Burden joins Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach as marketing and events manager

Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Burden as the marketing and events manager, a newly created position within the organization. With a robust background in digital marketing and extensive experience in event management spanning over 15 years, Burden brings a wealth of industry expertise to her new role.

In her capacity as the marketing and events manager, Burden will play a pivotal role as a key member of both the marketing and guest experience teams. In collaboration with various departments, she will develop comprehensive strategies aligned with the resort’s objectives to enhance each guest’s experience. Burden’s responsibilities will include driving awareness and revenue across all channels, particularly for Fin’s Up! Beach Club, St. Somewhere Spa and the Margaritaville Store. She will oversee large-scale ticketed events, holiday festivities and contribute significantly to the resort’s digital presence, ensuring an elevated guest experience throughout their stay.

Burden’s professional journey commenced in the wedding industry, where her dedication to creating unforgettable experiences for couples ignited her passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Having founded two companies as a wedding planner and working with A-list celebrities for various high-profile appearances, she brings a unique perspective to her new role.

With a decade of experience as the director of marketing and events manager for Harley-Davidson at their corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Burden has successfully managed large-scale events, including the Harley-Davidson Rally, which attracted over 500,000 attendees. Her oversight of event activations and marketing for motorcycle racing, shows, concerts, parties and street festivals, coupled with a focus on guest satisfaction, exemplifies her capability in delivering outstanding results.

Burden’s expertise in marketing, event planning and social media marketing, along with a proven track record of achieving commercial objectives and maximizing customer satisfaction, positions her as an asset to elevate Margaritaville Beach Resort’s marketing efforts to new heights.

As a recent resident of Florida, Burden has spent the past two years exploring the beaches and embracing the Margaritaville lifestyle. She expresses her enthusiasm about joining the team, stating, “Working with the Margaritaville team is a dream come true. I am honored to assume this role and deliver a world-class experience to every guest in this immersive landscape that I am fortunate to call my workplace. Once you arrive, you’ll never want to leave.
