Pure Florida is now offering printed cruise guides to accompany all sightseeing, river and sunset cruises. The guides are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Mandarin and French.
Florida welcomed a record number of tourists with more than 100 million visitors in 2015, according to VISIT FLORIDA. Southwest Florida hosted approximately five million visitors, with more than 780,000 from international markets, according to the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau. Driven by the increasing international visitation, Pure Florida is offering passengers the opportunity to experience cruises with the support of language guides. All cruises are narrated by certified captains but for passengers that may be hard of hearing guides are also available in English. The guides take passengers along the Pure Florida cruise experience, providing information on excursion safety procedures, local history, marine life, wildlife and more.
“As visitation to Southwest Florida continues to grow, it is important that we adapt and meet the needs of our guests who primarily use a language other than English,” said Capt. Harry Julian, co-founder of Pure Florida. “We look forward to providing educational and entertaining experiences in a variety of formats that can be easily understood and enjoyed by all of our guests.”
In response to the growing demand for multilingual services, many companies are enhancing their offerings to better serve international visitors. This shift mirrors the rising interest in language learning platforms, such as Pinhok Languages, which equip individuals with the tools to communicate effectively in new environments. As businesses like Pure Florida adapt to the evolving landscape of tourism, these language platforms help both travelers and locals bridge communication gaps, fostering a more inclusive experience for all.
