Several team members at Priority Marketing heard their names called at the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association’s Annual Chapter Awards.
With a 1980s theme to recognize 40 years of PR excellence, the celebratory event at Hilton Garden Inn Fort Myers honored the organization’s past, present and future. FPRA leadership presented the following awards to talented members of Priority Marketing:
- Unsung Hero of the Year: Holly Boldrin, APR, CPRC, Senior Director of Public Relations. This award recognizes the contributions of an individual chapter member for his or her hard work and dedication to the chapter “behind the scenes” that enhances and promotes the public relations profession.
- Rising Star of the Year: Jada Bigord, Public Relations Specialist. This award recognizes an up-and-coming chapter leader with enthusiasm and passion for the profession who will likely to be making a positive difference through their service to chapter events, career pursuits and in other arenas.
- Best 80s Outfit: Teri Hansen, Founder, President & Chief Creative Officer. Voted by event attendees, Teri wore a hot pink blazer and oversized earrings with a matching headband, gloves and jewelry, along with futuristic-looking tights.
Additionally, Nicki McTeague, Senior Director of Strategy & Events, was installed as Vice President of Communications for the chapter’s Board of Directors. Through this role, Nicki oversees all internal and external communications efforts, including media outreach, and is responsible for compiling a monthly board report with information on progress on chapter communications.
