Debra Capps has joined Priority Marketing as a special event manager responsible for planning and executing events of all sizes for nonprofit and for-profit clients.
In this role, Capps collaborates with the firm’s account services team and clients to coordinate fundraising galas, community forums, corporate meetings, seminars, trade shows, conferences, groundbreakings, grand openings, ribbon cuttings and other special events. She is responsible for developing and managing event budgets, timelines and resources including negotiating with vendors, coordinating event logistics and executing events while managing volunteers or on-site staff.
Capps previously served as director of marketing and development for Boys & Girls Club of Benton County, an Arkansas nonprofit that offers after-school and summer programs designed to empower youth to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy, productive lives. Other positions in Arkansas included event producer for Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week, director of operations for the Wellness Your Way Festival, and director of hospitality and guest services for Bentonville Film Festival. In South Carolina, Capps was a morning show co-host for 103.3/95.9 Earth FM, entertainment news show host for WSPA, spokesperson for Hyundai of Anderson, actor with The Warehouse Theatre and creative event manager for ScanSource.
Capps earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, with a concentration in journalism, from the University of South Carolina – Upstate.
