Business Observer named Priority Marketing President and Chief Creative Officer Teri Hansen, APR, as a 2023 Top Entrepreneur, an annual award that recognizes the region’s top business leaders and visionaries.

Teri joined five other entrepreneurs who were honored May 4 in Lakewood Ranch, where the business newspaper hosted a networking and educational event that offered insight into running a successful company.

Business Observer also published a 1,100-word profile and Q&A with Teri that covered Priority Marketing’s history as well as Teri’s personal challenges, helpful advice and strategic decisions. Priority Marketing, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, now has 56 talented marketing professionals on staff, making it the region’s largest firm.

“If you really want to build a team, it’s about assessing the needs and evaluating your own strengths, weaknesses, talents and skill sets,” she was quoted as saying. “And then staffing to fill in the other gaps.”

Today, the company offers brand development, public relations, graphic design, social media and email marketing, media planning, web solutions, event planning, video production, digital advertising and more.

One of Priority Marketing’s clients, Jen Whyte of Fort Myers Brewing Company, also was recognized as a Top Entrepreneur.

Business Observer, founded in 1997, circulates on Florida’s gulf coast from Tampa Bay to Naples. The weekly publication specializes in reporting on the region’s industry and economic trends; emerging companies; corporate strategies; identifying and profiling the region’s up-and-coming entrepreneurs and top business leaders; and keeping its readers abreast of state, regional and local government actions affecting business and the economy.
