Former TV reporter Rachel Anderson has joined Priority Marketing as a public relations specialist to execute PR strategies that align with clients’ overall goals.
In this role, Anderson collaborates with colleagues to execute public relations plans that include news releases, media advisories, contributed articles, guest opinions and other editorial content. She researches, writes and edits copy for clients across a broad spectrum of industries, as well as pitches stories to news media, captures video, drafts award submissions, provides crisis communications support and supports PR-related events like media tours, press conferences and grand openings. Additionally, Anderson completes monthly media analytical reports.
Before joining Priority Marketing, Anderson was host of the More Explores segment on WZVN (ABC7) in Fort Myers, where she showcased small businesses, restaurants, local events and nonprofits through live, engaging reports. As a local television personality in Southwest Florida, Anderson was often asked to chair community events, including fundraisers and galas for Humane Society Naples, Shy Wolf Sanctuary and Children’s Light Foundation. She also has volunteered as a “big” for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast.
Before relocating to Southwest Florida, Anderson was a multimedia journalist and weekend anchor/producer for WVVA, an NBC affiliate in West Virginia.
Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in multimedia journalism and communications, with a minor in sociology, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).
